What does the Bible say about Purity?

The bible makes it clear that we are to live a lifestyle of purity. True love waits. And while you’re waiting for your true love, keep your heart, thoughts and words pure as well. It’s convicting and humbling when we realize that purity doesn’t stop when we say “I do.” We are all called to live pure lifestyles, with pure hearts and pure thoughts. We are all works in progress!

“O daughters of Jerusalem, by the gazelles or by the does of the field, do not stir up nor awaken love until it pleases.” Song of Solomon 2:7

“Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.”  Ephesians 5:1-3

“Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” 2 Timothy 2:22

“Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.
