Purity in Music…
Friday, February 20th, 2009There is such great music out there–I thought I’d share some of my favorites and see what you all think. I love Switchfoot, TobyMac, Jeremy Camp, Newsboys, Casting Crowns…… But I think my favorite right now is tenth avenue north. I love their CD “Over and Underneath.” It has such heartfelt songs–This is a quote from the CD insert:
“…Our hope is that you would encounter Christ. Encounter Him, not just hear about Him, not just sing about Him, but truly, sincerely, encounter Him.”
The songs are so well thought and well written–they touch my heart! The song “Beloved” is amazing. I think it’s the most beautiful song I’ve heard. For any woman struggling with the concept of purity, (and for those of us woman who don’t THINK we’re struggling with purity issues) this song is a perfect reminder of Christ’s love for us; no matter what is in our past. He gives us complete forgiveness and hope. Check out their CD–it’s amazing. http://tenthavenuenorth.com/ You can also visit them on Facebook or MySpace. Thank you Tenth Avenue North!
Also, check out Emanuel Reiter. He’s a new upcoming artist from Germany who has his first single out called “Will you wait for me?” http://www.myspace.com/emanuelreiter He’s committed to getting the “wait” message out there. Thanks Emanuel!
